SSLA 2012 CONFERENCE – AMICALOLA FALLS STATE PARK LODGE
Put the saddle on the pony, get your ducks in a row
for it’s time again for the SSLA Annual Conference. There is an impressive list of speakers (see below) ranging from germs and worms, tax information for llama and alpaca farms, public relations llamas, to what projects you can do to make use of all your fiber. Barbara Johansen is once again in charge of the fiber room and plans to talk about what your fiber is worth, will teach spinning and repair spinning wheels. Vicki Sundberg and Tori Howk will demonstrate Nuno felting and a quick-felting project. There will be some small triangle looms and “real” looms for sale, and a camelid yard sale and fiber sale. (Bring your stuff.) Mary Lou Hassell and her crew have assembled another
great program for the youth, starting with the first
SSLA Youth Pack Trial. This is a basic PLTA Pack Trial
for youth only. For more details, or to sign up contact
